In this chapter, we'll explain how we propose to build up from distributed capabilities to a user interface that allows people (and automated trading agents like auction houses) to trade electronic rights. We also show how to create new kinds of electronic rights (new derivative instruments) that can represent a variety of contractual arrangements.
